From Wednesday, November 14 through Friday, November 16, 2012, New Jersey Association for Justice hosted it’s 2012 annual conference at the Sheraton Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey. In addition to attending this important conference for trial lawyers, attorneys from Raff & Raff also participated as speakers and chairs of certain seminars.

On the Wednesday afternoon, Michael Raff co-chaired a seminar entitled Expedited Trials: To Do or Not To Do, which discussed the pros and cons of what is known as an expedited trial for personal injury cases (an expedited trial is essentially a mini-trial where the medical documents are given to the jury are usually only 1 or 2 witnesses testify; the medical experts do not give live testimony). The seminar was open only to plaintiff’s personal injury lawyers. Daniel Levy served on the panel of speakers, and spoke about the Rules of the Game, wherein the procedural rules and customs were discussed in detail.

On that Friday, Michael Raff also co-chaired a seminar entitled Successfully Proving Damages, where the panel discussed ways to prove the full amount of damages in catastrophic injury cases.

The programs were very successful and highly attended. We would like to thank everyone who attended and those who worked to make this event so successful.
