The Firm is pleased to report that Dan Levy has recently won a jury trial in Bergen County. The case was about a car accident that occurred within an intersection, and we represented the plaintiff, who was making a left hand turn. She made the left turn because a car in the opposite direction was also signalling left and waived her on. The defendant veered right around that vehicle and crashed into the client’s vehicle when she was most of the way through her turn. The insurance company for the defendant already agreed to pay a certain amount of money if we could prove that the defendant was negligent. It was a tough case because the only witnesses were the two drivers. No one took down the information of anyone else who witnessed the crash at the scene. Ultimately, the jury decided that the defendant was 65% at fault, which resulted in a victory.
